*Beamish Body/Mind Balancing is a holistic body method using mental imagery, floor exercises and breathing techniques that corrects skeletal placement, muscular strength and emotional well-being. This work reinforces optimal skeletal alignment, encourages the correct use of muscles and frees the dancer's body of unnecessary tension, allowing them to gain flexibility, technical strength and ease of movement. This approach also corresponds to certain sports psychology techniques that act on the mind and nervous system, modifying the thought patterns that affect the dancer's approach and effectiveness in terms of technique and performance.
Higher level students are encouraged to attend the public presentation evening at the Gare du Midi theatre on Tuesday evening, day 3 of the course. Rehearsals and set-up sessions are imperative. This evening is organised by Malandain Ballet Biarritz.
